Fidalgo Island Rotary was approached by the city of Anacortes to refurbish and relandscape the pocket park located on the Tommy Thompson Trail just off of 34th & V Ave. trailhead. Local driftwood was donated, sanded, varnished and built by men and women in our club. Next, a community hands-on landscaping project followed with weed, bush and mulch laying. Finally, a top coat of varnish was added to help protect the benches from the elements.
